She was intrigued by the “color play” between the black white and orange elements in the foreground and was challenged to find a complementary matte for the background. All of the figures on this card are cut by hand and Rosa reports that she really enjoyed making the cute “party penguin” donned with party hat gifts and festive attitude. This card would work well for a child’s birthday remembrance as party invitations gift card or to complement a birthday gift.

She developed and utilizes a treatment technique to soften the paper and then hand tears or cuts it to give the flowers and leaves a more realistic look and feel. Size: 4″ x 5 1/2″ (width – height) The companion card to the ‘Geraniums in Clay Pot’ that adds a splash of cool color. The paper has been hand treated the leaves are hand torn and three different hues of blue and purple are used to give it an authentic look.
