With voting ending on September 22nd at 11:59 pm, you can say the heat is on for many of us who want to finish at our BEST! This year my participation in American Made has been, like any good marathon, very different, challenging, with it’s highs and lows. Yesterday, all the participants of American Made received e-mail notifying us all, that there were some votes that had been disqualified. This was devastating for at least 5 businesses that I can see, were in the race for the top 20. For others like me, it was the “bump we needed” to give us a hope . Even though the top lead numbers are high, and unless our whole city comes together, it’s going to be hard ( but never impossible) to beat. I am giving it my BEST shot at trying to finish in the top 10 in the Craft Category. Many of us feel like the little engine that could or like David defeating Goliath at times, but faith, family, friends and an unresolved determination to believe in these God given gifts have catapulted and stretched us once again beyond what we thought we could ever do. Being a part…

Hey Everyone! Hope you enjoyed our segment with Jerry Penacoli and Cyndi Edwards on the Daytime TV Show, which aired today. Here are the materials and instructions for this very simple yet elegant design for a card for someone who is getting married. You could even use it as a design for invitations if you wanted it’s an inexpensive yet elegant looking design. Materials: 1. PAPER: Red glittered paper (for the small heart between the doves) A printed damask design in grays. Black and white can look really nice as well. Cut at approx 7 inches long x 3.5 inches. Three 7 inch x 1 inch wide strips of paper. I used Black and Bazzil Stormy and Smoky for the grays. The whole idea is to create an ombre (faded from light to dark effect) 2.GLUE: Martha Stewart Glue stick and Glue pen 3. PUNCHES: Martha Stewart Confetti Heart and Vintage Dove 4. Flat-back crystals or pearls 5. Pop-dots (adhesives) When gluing the strips I went from the lightest to the darkest on the bottom. The lighter shade always glued on top of the darker one. Punch your doves but be careful if you are using textured paper to flip…

[threecol_one]What an honor it has been, and fun as well these past three (3) years to be, even in a small way, a part of the 7 year Emmy Award Winning Martha Stewart Show. Sadly as I write this, the studios are dark and many have been relocated to other positions or have already had their last day at the office. [/threecol_one] [threecol_two_last][/threecol_two_last] So I dedicate this blog to all the people of the Martha Stewart Show. The experience has helped me as a business owner and to grow as an artist. It has afforded a wonderful opportunity to be exposed to some incredibly talented people and has pushed my creative limits to a place where not even the sky is the limit. I have dared to dream, seen some come true, and I’m so excited that I’ll not be stopping anytime soon. [threecol_two] [/threecol_two] [threecol_one_last]In a weird way I think it is my way of grieving and giving this amazing ride in my life some kind of closure as well. There will be ways to stay in touch with the very special people I’ve come to know and love, however the family camaraderie as we once knew it, will likely be a thing of the past as each one must continue in their separate journeys. With the last-minute request to…
